Some of the best restaurants in Porto and Douro Region

It is impossible to visit the city of Porto and the Douro region without visiting the restaurants that we will present. Below is a list with the best selection of restaurants that you cannot miss on a visit to the Porto and Douro region.

Brasão Cervejaria Coliseu

Brasão Cervejaria Coliseu, is a good option because you could not miss a francesinha option in this list of the best restaurants in Porto. On the other hand, the Brasão is particularly strong in snacks, such as truffle and mushroom patties, alheira, moelinhas and fried onions.
This restaurant has no menus of the day. On average, each person has lunch for 20€, which is fair, considering  their fair reputation and location.
In addition to the carefully prepared dishes (based on francesinhas and beautiful steaks), at Brasão Coliseu you will be received in an attentive and careful manner, in an intimate space. Located in Rua de Passos Manuel, Porto.

The Wine House Restaurante - Quinta da Pacheca

Elected in 2015 as Best Wine Tourism, by the guide "Boa Cama Boa Mesa", Quinta da Pacheca bets on a reference restaurant. The room is elegant, decorated keeping the classic look of an old farmhouse with hints of modernity and even daring, for example in the decoration, composed of magnificent pieces of faience of the 20th century. Very appetizing, the entrance consists of a marbled with foie gras and acid marmalade, reduction of Tawny Port wine Quinta da Pacheca and fleur de sel. In the main ones, reference to the Naco de sauté veal, with Portobello mushroom and salpicão risotto. Located in Quinta da Pacheca, Cambres, Lamego.

Cafeína

Foz's classic and elegant restaurant, which despite having completed 20 years, continues to maintain the quality of a restaurant of excellence.
It is a beautiful restaurant, with attentive service. It is advisable to book in advance and, if possible, choose one of the tables by the window.
For lunch there is the option of an executive menu (€ 16 / € 18). Dinner is à la carte and the price is around € 35 / person. The cuisine is essentially based on typical Portuguese dishes and some with French or Italian influence. Accompanying it is an excellent wine list.
For desserts, the chocolate cake or the tarte tatin with ice cream shine. Located in Rua do Padrão, Porto.

Cais da Villa

From an old railroad warehouse, a huge restaurant emerged, full of cosmopolitanism and refinement. The first-rate service at the entrance is a great indicator, immediately confirmed when we look at the restaurant's Cais da Villa menu, where traditional cuisine products are identified with a contemporary look. Examples of this are low-temperature cod loin and bísaro pork cheeks with risotto. The dining room is beautiful and spacious and softly lit by the labels of the air-conditioned wine cellar. You can also snack. Located in Rua Monsenhor Jerónimo do Amaral (Train Station), Vila Real.

Terminal 4450

Terminal 4450 is one of the best restaurants in Porto, and is off the tourist route, being located within the sea port of Leixões.
The interior, dominated by solid wooden beams, leads diners to sit at tables without a towel, recreating a rustic but. Don't come here alone: bring friends and family, everyone will like it.
Whoever goes to Terminal 4450, goes for meat, and the veal chop makes the house a name. This brave piece of grilled meat weighs approximately 1 kg, is seasoned to perfection and complemented by 3 side dishes of choice worthy of a steakhouse.
For 38 €, this feast is enough for 3 people, or 4 if they are shy with meat. The menu extends to other pieces, such as T-bone, rump, loin, picanha and Black Angus, also having a children's menu and a wide list of snacks.
For lunch, you can enjoy a daily menu for 10 €. The drinks list includes a selection of wines centered on classic Douro, beers from the 1927 SB selection, and colorful bleeds.

O Tachinho da Té

Last but not least, we have O Tachinho da Té. What stands out as soon as you enter the restaurant is the huge and full wine cellar, where wines produced on the banks of the Douro predominate. Then it is the view of the mountains and the locality that enter through the huge window. Everything you can taste here is typical and traditional, made with the only rule that prevails here and that is not to tamper with the good products that nature offers. At the time, there was a partridge açorda worthy of being tried; the rest of the time, always count on Roast kid and Posta arouquesa. Watch out for regular wine dinners. Conde Ferreira Street, Tabuaço.

These are some of our recommendations. Obviously there are many more restaurants as good as these. We leave these one's as a suggestion and leave others for you to know by yourself.
